The finalists of Season 26 of The Voice included Sofronio Vasquez, Shye, Jeremy Beloate, Sydney Sterlace, and Danny Joseph.

Sofronio Vasquez emerged victorious as the champion of Season 26 during the finale on Tuesday, Dec. 10, marking a significant achievement for coach Michael Bublé in his debut season on the show.

Overcome with emotion, Vasquez dropped to his knees when his name was announced, while Bublé also broke into tears. “My Filipino brother, you are the hope of so many people… it has been such an unbelievable journey to be here with you,”

Bublé said, moments before Vasquez was crowned the winner. Vasquez triumphed over runner-up Shye from Team Bublé, Danny Joseph from Team Reba, Jeremy Beloate from Team Snoop, and Sydney Sterlace from Team Gwen.

Born and raised in the Philippines, Vasquez credits his late father with inspiring his love of singing. Following his father’s passing, he moved to the United States in 2022 to pursue his dreams in music. His journey on The Voice began with a powerful blind audition performance of Rose Royce’s “I’m Goin’ Down,” which earned him a rare four-chair turn and a spot on Michael Bublé’s team.

During the Dec. 2 episode, Vasquez delivered a stirring rendition of Elvis Presley’s “If I Can Dream,” earning high praise from Bublé.

The Canadian singer commended Vasquez for his strength and ability to shine under pressure. “In this moment that matters more than anything in your life, career-wise, you step up and take the brass ring. I’m so proud of you,” Bublé remarked.

Ahead of the finale, Vasquez spoke about the experience, emphasizing gratitude and camaraderie among the contestants. “This has been an incredible journey. Win or lose, we’re just going to celebrate the love and support we’ve felt throughout,” he shared.
