Super Eagles interim coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has dismissed rumours about
his alleged resignation following yesterday’s goalless draw against Rwanda.
Addressing journalists upon the team’s arrival in Abuja, Eguavoen described the
rumours as false and misleading, clarifying that he had been misquoted.
He affirmed that he was still in charge of the Super Eagles and would sit down
with the federation to evaluate the team’s performance, following the two matches
played.
Super Eagles will face the Mediterranean Knights of Libya at the Godswill Akpabio
Stadium, Uyo, next month.
