Nigerian stars ruled the 9th All Africa Music Awards in Lagos, with Rema emerging the night’s biggest winner.

The 24-year-old hitmaker swept three major prizes, including Artiste of the Year and Best Male Artiste in Western Africa.

Burna Boy claimed Album of the Year, while Yemi Alade won Best Soundtrack for You Are. Rising star Shallipopi grabbed Song of the Year and shared Best African Collaboration with Burna Boy.

Phyno secured Best African Hip-Hop Artiste, as Chella won African Fans’ Favourite. The ceremony celebrated Africa’s musical diversity, with Lagos hosting AFRIMA for the third time.
