President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on a visit to China in first week of
September, aiming to strengthen Nigeria’s economy and advance its strategic
interests through a series of high-level meetings and engagements.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, who made this
known during a press briefing at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, revealed that Mr
President will hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, where they will
sign Memorandum of Understanding in areas like the green economy, agriculture,
communications and satellite technology.
Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that President Tinubu will also attend the
Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) summit and speak on regional peace
and security in his role as ECOWAS Chairman.
According to the Presidential media aide, these visit is expected to bring significant
benefits to Nigeria.
