Popular Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has finally explained the origin of his unusual Instagram name, ‘Elizabeth Joyce.’
In a trending video making rounds on social media, Portable was seen chatting with content creator Egungun of Lagos during a car ride when the topic came up.

When asked about the name on his profile, the singer openly admitted that he originally created the account while trying to venture into internet fraud, commonly called Yahoo Yahoo.
“To be honest, I once set up a Facebook and Instagram account back when I wanted to learn Yahoo,” Portable confessed. “But it didn’t work out. So, when I started getting recognition, I just edited the name, removed the foreign details, and kept using the account.”
Portable shot to fame in December 2021 with his hit song Zazoo Zeh, featuring Olamide and Poco Lee. Since then, he has frequently made headlines, both for his music and his controversies.
Earlier this year, he clashed with Ogun State officials, resulting in his arrest and a five-count charge, including assault. Authorities alleged he led an attack against officials attempting to shut down his bar due to permit violations.
He was declared wanted on February 18 but surrendered the next day. A court later granted him N2 million bail, with his case adjourned until March 5.
