Where Nigeria’s senior men’s basketball team known as D’Tigers suffered their third defeat to wrap up February round of 2025 Afrobasket qualifiers.
The team which almost did not travel for the qualifiers due to lack of funds, made it 3 losses in 3 games, following a 78-62 blowout loss to Cape Verde.
D’Tigers suffered an 82-89 loss to Libya in their opening game of the qualification series, then lost again 72-62 by Uganda in the 2nd qualifier.
The second window for the qualifiers would run between November 18-26, 2024.
The qualifiers would see the team play each opponent in its group twice in a “tournament” format over three windows.
After this qualifiers, 16 best teams of Africa will play the must important tournament named AfroBasket 2025.
