In Regards to the nationwide protests , the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has directed his men across the country to “deal decisively” with arsonists and troublemakers during the #EndBadGovernance protests across the Federation starting today, August 1.

In a statement he personally signed on the eve of the protests, Egbetokun said the organisers of the planned demonstrations failed to furnish the police with the details of the protests including the names of intending participants and routes of rallies.

According to him, intelligence revealed that the protests are aimed at unleashing mayhem on the polity and innocent citizens.

Earlier at a virtual meeting with senior officers from across the country, the IGP had ordered police officers to put proactive measures in place to ensure that the protest.
