The Grand Ole Opry marked its 100th anniversary with star-studded performances and a surprise appearance by Gwyneth Paltrow. The actress joined country singer Holly Williams and her husband, Chris Coleman, onstage, where the trio performed “Waiting on June,” a song inspired by Williams’ family history.
Williams told the crowd she first heard Paltrow’s “secret voice” years ago and has admired her ever since. Paltrow and Williams have remained close friends, bonding over music, motherhood, and years of shared trips and family time. Known for her role as a country singer in Country Strong, Paltrow has long cited Williams as one of her favorite country artists.
