The GoFundMe campaign has raised nearly $40,000 to assist with essential needs and rebuilding efforts. The fundraiser prioritizes families listed in the Displaced Black Families GoFundMe Directory, curated by organizations like Community Aid Dena and WalkGood LA.
The campaign also underscores the historical significance of the Black community in Altadena and its resilience through generations, now faced with rebuilding after the devastating wildfires.
