A fire broke out early Monday morning at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation inside the Federal Secretariat complex in Abuja.
The blaze started around 8 a.m. in Block C, triggering a swift response from the Federal Fire Service and other emergency teams. Firefighters quickly contained the fire and stopped it from spreading to other parts of the building.
Workers in the area evacuated immediately, and officials confirmed that no casualties occurred.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
The incident marks the second fire outbreak at the building in recent years. In December 2023, an electrical explosion triggered a similar fire in the same complex.
Meanwhile, officials have dismissed online speculation about destroyed documents, stressing that no evidence supports the claims.
