The Federal Government has extended completion of the Abuja-Kaduna-Zaria-Kano dual carriageway by 24 months, with a target of 15 kilometers monthly completion.
The Minister who disclosed this during an inspection tour of the Abuja-Kaduna section of the road, accompanied by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Economy, Wale Edun, said it will take another 2years for the road to be completed, as he assured that the financial challenges impeding its completion would be addressed.
The Finance Minister and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun who assured of Government’s willingness to ensure funding for the road, explained how government intends to raise the money for such projects across the country.
Meanwhile the newly deployed Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Works, Mr. Yakubu Kofarmata has given assurance that subsequent new innovations in the Ministry shall be geared towards achieving Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda in infrastructural development, especially in road construction and rehabilitation for ease of doing business in all sector of the Nigerian Economy.
