Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives have released emails showing that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein claimed former President Donald Trump was aware of the underage girls Epstein was accused of abusing.
The correspondence includes exchanges between Epstein, author Michael Wolff, and Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s former associate now serving a prison sentence for sex trafficking.
According to the emails, Epstein said Trump “spent hours” at his home with a victim and “knew about the girls” as he asked Maxwell to stop. The White House has not yet responded to requests for comment. Trump has denied any wrongdoing, although he was socially acquainted with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s.
