Striker Elijah Adebayo etched his name into Luton Town’s record books by becoming the first player in over three decades to score a top-flight hat-trick for the club.
Adebayo’s goals helped Luton secure a resounding 4-0 victory against Brighton in the Premier League last night.
He became the first Luton Town player to score a top-flight hat-trick since Lars Elstrup achieved the feat against Norwich City in September 1990, and also marked the first top-flight hat-trick at Kenilworth Road for Luton since Mark Stein’s memorable achievement against Oxford United in February 1988.
In other premier league fixtures last night, Newcastle defeated Aston Villa 3-1, Arsenal defeated Nottingham Forest 2-1, Crystal Palace beat Sheffield 3-2, and Fulham drew goalless with Everton.
Week 22 Fixtures tonight sees Tottenham host Brentford, Manchester City host Burnley, while Liverpool play Chelsea at Anfield.
