A Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, ruled on Tuesday that musician Naira Marley and socialite Sam Larry were not involved in the death of singer Mohbad (Aloba Oladimeji Ilerioluwa). The court’s decision follows months of intense speculation and legal proceedings surrounding the case.

Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje made the ruling after reviewing the legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), which stated that Naira Marley had no case to answer. Additionally, the court cleared Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy) and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde, of any involvement.

However, the DPP announced that it will proceed with charges against the auxiliary nurse, Feyisayo Ogedengbe, and Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sadiq, for reckless and negligent actions under Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.
