A cryptic “Album🦅” tweet and a Paris listening party on June 25 hint at his first full-length project since Morayo.
Wizkid has sent fans into a frenzy with a mysterious teaser hinting at a new album. On Saturday night, the Grammy-winning Afrobeats star posted a brief message on X. It simply read: “Album🦅”. Consequently, the cryptic update instantly set off speculation about his next project.
Though the singer offered no further details, industry insiders interpret the post as the start of a full album rollout. Adding to the anticipation, a pre-release listening party is reportedly set for June 25 in Paris. Indeed, this is a strong sign that big plans are already in motion.
Notably, the expected album will be Wizkid’s first full-length release since 2024’s Morayo. That album was a deeply personal tribute to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun. She passed away in August 2023.
If confirmed, the project adds another chapter to a remarkable career. In fact, that career began with Superstar in 2011. It established Wizkid as one of Africa’s most influential global artists. For example, his catalog includes Ayo (2014), Sounds From the Other Side (2017), and Made in Lagos (2020). It also features More Love, Less Ego (2022). Ultimately, Made in Lagos remains his biggest international success. Specifically, it was buoyed by collaborations with Damian Marley, Skepta, H.E.R., Ella Mai, Burna Boy, Tems, and Terri. As a result, that star-studded lineup cemented his place at the forefront of the global Afrobeats movement.
Meanwhile, Wizkid has continued to broaden his collaborative reach. In January 2026, he reportedly dropped a joint EP titled Real with fellow Afrobeats star Asake. The project further expanded his impact across the genre’s new generation. Moreover, his accolades include a 2021 Grammy Award for his feature on Beyoncé’s “Brown Skin Girl.”
