American R&B artist Chris Brown, known for his past relationship with pop icon Rihanna, was released on bail Wednesday in connection with an assault charge in the UK. A judge set bail at £5 million, which Brown must forfeit if he fails to return for scheduled performances in Britain.

The 36-year-old singer is allowed to continue his international tour, which kicks off on June 8 in Amsterdam. However, he is required to return to the UK in time for his concert dates starting June 15, or the bond will be lost.
