Each of the eight African Women Football Clubs participating in the CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco 2024 will receive at least 150,000 dollars in prize money.
CAF, in a statement yesterday, said this year’s prize money for the tournament, which begins on Saturday in Morocco, has increased by 52 per cent with the winner receiving 600,000 dollars.
This means Nigeria’s sole representative in the league, Edo Queens, on their first attempt will earn over N200m for making it to the tournament.
The Nigerian club side, which already left Nigeria for the competition, will face CBE FC of Ethiopia, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa and Masar FC of Egypt in Group B.
