Calvin Bassey is set to miss the Super Eagles friendly game against Eagles of Mali due to injury.

Bassey did not feature in Friday’s friendly game against Ghana’s Black Stars which the Eagles won 2-1.

The Fulham defender was on the bench for 90 minutes as the trio of debutant Benjamin Tanimu, Chidozie Awaziem and Semi Ajayi were in the three-man backline.

Now according to Fulham Fan News, Bassey will return to Fulham to undergo further tests and treatment because of the injury.

The extent or nature of Bassey’s injury is unknown, but it would be a big blow for Fulham if it is a long-term injury.
