Ballon d’Or 2025 Nominee Lists to Be Unveiled on August 7
France Football has confirmed that the full list of nominees for the 2025 Ballon d’Or—covering both the men’s and women’s awards—will be released on August 7.
The announcement will kick off the build-up to the prestigious awards ceremony, which is set to take place on September 22 at the iconic Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. The event is expected to spark intense debate and excitement across the global football community.
As in recent years, the 2025 edition will continue to highlight both men’s and women’s football equally. Alongside the main awards, France Football will also reveal nominees for the Yashin Trophy (best goalkeeper), Kopa Trophy (best U21 player), and the Gerd Müller Trophy (top scorer).
