Zoë Kravitz has confirmed there’s no bad blood between her and Taylor Swift—despite her mom’s pet snake causing chaos in the pop star’s home.
In a recent interview with E! News on August 20, Kravitz, 36, laughed off the situation when asked if she’s been back to Swift’s house since the incident. “Have I? No. But not because I wasn’t invited. Just because I haven’t been in L.A.,” she said, jokingly adding, “No, I’m not allowed there anymore.”
The incident happened in 2018, when Kravitz and her mother, Lisa Bonet, stayed at Swift’s Los Angeles home during the city’s wildfires. During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers on August 12, Kravitz revealed Bonet’s pet snake escaped and slithered into a hole behind a bathroom banquette.
Efforts to retrieve the snake escalated quickly. A house manager used a crowbar to rip apart the bathroom, damaging tiles and walls. “We completely destroyed Taylor’s bathroom,” Kravitz admitted, adding she tried to keep it quiet until repairs were done—but Swift found out anyway.
Despite the damage, Swift took it well. The two remain close friends, having bonded in London during the COVID-19 lockdown. Kravitz even revealed she’s heard early tracks from Swift’s upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl, set for release on October 3. “It’s fantastic. No skips,” she told Extra.
