The University of Lagos (UNILAG) says it seeks to solidify its bilateral relationship between the University and the Embassy of France in Education, Research and cultural exchange.
Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos, Professor Folasade Ogunsola made this known when he played host to the French Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Marc Fonbaustier.
Vice-Chancellor, Folasade Ogunsola appreciated the Ambassador for his visit and reaffirmed the UNILAG’s commitment to international collaborations that would enhance academic excellence and research output and also called for further engagement in science, technology and humanity.
In his remarks, the French Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Marc Fonbaustier re-emphasized the French Embassy’s and government commitment towards continued support for the Fabrication Laboratory (FAB-LAB) with a view to deepening its partnership with UNILAG.
As part of the Diplomatic visit, Ambassador Fonbaustier toured various sections of the University including the Fabrication Laboratory UNILAG FabLab), a facility donated to UNILAG by the Embassy of France in 2020.
At the Fabrication Lab, the French Ambassador expressed satisfaction over the quality of different innovative projects displayed by the students as well as optimization of the facility.
The French Diplomat was received by the Vice-Chancellor of UNILAG, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS , along with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics and Research, Professor Bola Oboh and Dean, Faculty of Arts, Professor Mudashir Ilupeju.
