U.S. President Donald Trump has signed a proclamation banning nationals from 12 countries from entering the United States, citing security threats and terrorism concerns.

The affected countries include Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.

The directive is part of Trump’s expanded immigration crackdown in his second term, which has also involved deporting hundreds of Venezuelans to El Salvador over alleged gang ties and restricting some foreign students.

Nationals from seven other countries—Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela—will face partial entry restrictions under the new order.
