President Bola Tinubu has approved the commencement of 2024 National
Honours Award to Nigerians who have contributed to the development of the
country, in line with the National Honours Award Act 2004.

Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Zaphaniah Jisalo, who
made this known yesterday in Abuja, said the Federal Government would also
honour Nigerians who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of
endeavours.

The minister explained that the forms and processes leading to the award of
national honours are free.
