TikToker SeaKing, whose real name is Olumide Ogunsanwo, has been released from police custody. This was confirmed by Sahara Reporters’ publisher, Omoyele Sowore.
SeaKing was arrested over allegations of cyberbullying against Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), following comments made during a live session in December 2024.
Sowore, who has been actively advocating for the TikToker’s release, announced the development on Monday via X. He also revealed that he personally signed as a guarantor for SeaKing’s administrative bail.
“We are pleased to confirm that Olumide Ogunsanwo @seaking303 has been released from @PoliceNG custody after we opposed the initial bail condition requiring a Level 12 or 10 civil servant. A new agreement was reached, and I signed for his release,” Sowore stated, sharing a photo of SeaKing smiling in a car.
During the RCCG’s February Holy Ghost service at the 3km by 3km auditorium in Simawa, Ogun State, Pastor Adeboye himself called for SeaKing’s release. He noted that the TikToker’s actions aligned with a prophecy given at the start of the year.
“God revealed that mockers would become more vocal and bold this year,” Adeboye said. “I heard that someone criticized me for asking my congregation to fast and pray for 100 days. But I wasn’t speaking to him—I was addressing my children.”
