The Nigeria Football Federation unveiled a roster update on Monday, just four days before the 2024 Paris Olympic Games qualifier clash between the Super Falcons and African champions South Africa in Abuja.

Coach Randy Waldrum has made a pivotal decision, drafting the promising Jumoke Alani as a replacement for the injured Ashleigh Plumptre. Plumptre, a standout performer during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, was forced to withdraw from the squad due to an untimely injury.

Waldrum has assembled a formidable squad comprising three goalkeepers, six defenders, six midfielders, and seven forwards to take on the African champions, while Banyana Banyana coach, Desiree Ellis, has selected a 24-player contingent consisting of three goalkeepers, eight defenders, seven midfielders, and six forwards.

The first leg of the Paris 2024 Olympic qualifiers comes up on Friday, April 5.
