As the Super Falcons of Nigeria prepares to take on their South African counterparts in Pretoria on Tuesday night, Banyana Banyana head coach, Desiree Ellis believes there is still plenty to play for in their 2024 Olympic Games qualifier.
Nigeria defeated the visitors by a single goal thanks to a penalty kick by Rasheedat Ajibade last Friday in the first leg in Abuja, as the Super Falcons aim to secure a spot in the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in France.
Coach Ellis, has described their 0-1 loss to the Super Falcons of Nigeria as “just half time.”
She restated that her team needs to have a look at the video footage of the first leg encounter, and see where they can exploit because she believes her team was defensively very sound up until that penalty; and her attackers created a couple of chances.
