The Saudi Ministry of Interior has announced penalties for those violating Hajj regulations, including fines up to SAR 100,000 (approximately $26,661 USD) for facilitating unauthorized pilgrims and SAR 20,000 (around $5,332 USD) for individuals performing Hajj without permits.Â
Those caught sheltering or transporting unauthorized pilgrims will also face fines, while illegal infiltrators may be deported and banned from re-entering Saudi Arabia for 10 years.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s National Hajj Commission has announced that the 2025 Hajj airlift will commence on May 9 for the 43,000 registered pilgrims.
