Sabrina Carpenter made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry on October 7, wearing a vintage Bob Mackie dress originally designed for Ann-Margret in the 1970s. The 26-year-old was introduced by Sheryl Crow, whom she called her biggest idol.
Sharing the moment on Instagram, Carpenter posted photos of her performance, a backstage moment with Crow, and a throwback of Dolly Parton at the Opry. She thanked fans, the band, and the Opry community for a warm welcome, calling the night “magical.”
Carpenter and Dolly Parton previously teamed up for a remix of “Please Please Please,” featured on the Short n’ Sweet deluxe edition, released earlier this year.
