Ruger Has Split from D’ Prince’s Jonzing World Record Label

Nigerian artist Ruger has gained recognition for his unique blend of Dancehall and Afrobeats, captivating audiences globally.

In a recent development confirmed by a source within Jonzing World, the Dancehall star Ruger has parted ways with the Jonzing World label, with which he had been signed since 2019.

Ruger was introduced in 2020 by Jonzing World as its first flagship artist. The talented Dancehall act gained mainstream recognition in the same year with his debut EP ‘Pandemic,’ featuring hit songs such as ‘Ruger,’ ‘Bounce,’ and ‘Abu Dhabi.’

Following his breakthrough, Ruger achieved commercial success with his sophomore EP ‘Second Wave,’ which produced hit singles like ‘Dior’ and ‘Girl Friend.’

In 2023, Ruger released his debut album ‘Ru The World’ under Jonzing World, featuring hit songs like ‘Asiwaju,’ ‘Jonzing Boy,’ and ‘Bun Bun.’

After four years with the label, Ruger has parted ways with Jonzing World and is now establishing his own label, Blown Boy Entertainment. This move was recently hinted at in a freestyle video he shared on his Instagram story.
