In the second round of the “Knockout Chaos” fight on Friday night, Joshua defeated Francis Ngannou via severe knockout (KO), according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The well-known recording artist, who frequently makes large wagers on sports, announced earlier on Instagram that he was wagering $615,000 on Ngannou to defeat Joshua hands-down.

Drake stated, “Betting on a scary man.”

Drake, along with a number of other combat sports enthusiasts, thought that Ngannou could defeat Joshua; had the wager succeeded, it would have yielded a $1.9 million profit.

Drake has seen significant winnings and losses in his betting career, but he is most known for the “Drake Curse,” which is the accusation made by fans that he “curses” sportsmen and teams after being photographed with them.

Numerous people have been impacted by the “curse,” including tennis player Serena Williams, UFC fighter Kamaru Usman, quarterback Johny Manziel, and even the whole Kentucky Wildcats basketball team in the United States.

The rapper shed more than half a million pounds in January after he foolishly supported Sean Strickland over Dricus Du Plessis to defend his UFC middleweight title.

Drake made a major wager in 2023 that YouTube boxer Logan Paul would defeat Conor McGregor’s training partner Dillon Danis in their Misfits Boxing match. The rapper won $ 1.3 million after Danis was disqualified in the final round for trying to choke Paul unconscious, prompting a massive brawl to break out in the ring.

Earlier before that fight, Drake missed out on a $920,000 payout after Nigerian-born Israel Adesanya lost his UFC middleweight title to Sean Strickland.Drake was rooting for Adesanya to knockout Strickland in their world title clash, but Strickland produced a massive upset to win on points.
