Prince William recently revealed a surprising detail about his holiday traditions—he doesn’t own a Christmas sweater.
During a festive gathering with the 1st Battalion Mercian Regiment, where he handed out gifts to children and families, the 42-year-old royal laughed about his lack of festive attire after a young boy pointed out his own Christmas sweaters.
William joked, blaming his equerry, Squadron Leader Mike Reynolds, for not alerting him to the dress code. Despite skipping this holiday staple, Prince William is fully immersed in the royal family’s Christmas traditions at Sandringham.

Alongside Kate Middleton and their three children, he participated in the traditional Christmas Day church walk and watched King Charles’ annual Christmas address. The family also enjoyed their longstanding custom of exchanging gag gifts on Christmas Eve.
