Controversial musician, Portable, has escaped a jail term after opting for a N30,000 fine, following his three months’ imprisonment sentence slammed by the Ifo Magistrate Court in Ogun State for assaulting Emmanuel Oluwafemi in 2022.

In his judgment, Chief Magistrate Babajide Ilo stated that the singer was found guilty on counts one and two.

Portable was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment with an option of a N10,000 fine on count one and two months’ imprisonment with an option of a N20,000 fine on count two.

The court gave Portable the option to pay a fine instead of serving the jail term, which he has now done.
