It was a catastrophic and abrupt end to the oriental derby between Enugu Rangers and Enyimba International, after the game was abandoned following a late penalty call.

The Week 35 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match, which was a title decider, saw Enyimba player abandon the game, and fans invaded the pitch, after a penalty was awarded in the 107th minute of play in favour of the Flying Antelopes, when the game was already wrapping up as goalless.

Rangers began the match topping the league standings (with 60 points) and Enyimba trailed them by two points.As at Press time, the league  management body has yet to make comments about the match and the next line of action.
