Former Nigeria’s Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said the fashion industry generates two trillion naira annually and remains a vital part of Nigeria’s cultural fabrics.
The former minister who delivered a keynote address at the hybrid edition of the 10th annual Pan African Music Fashion Runway and the Game Changer Africa Acknowledgement (The GCAA) Awards, for Africa’s best iconic designers which held during the weekend, said, the fashion economic sector holds a tremendous potential for tourism ecosystem similar to the Dubai shopping festival.
According to Mohammed, Nigeria has all it takes to build a thriving creative economy, with strategic investment in infrastructure, Nigeria can unlock unprecedented growth, attract global attention and create countless opportunities for youths.
The CEO at NMO Management Limited, Dr. Ngozi Omambala, urged youths not to give up on their potentials.
