Nigeria’s Super Eagles dropped two places in the latest FIFA ranking, but the three-time African champions are still far ahead of their West African rivals Ghana.

The Super Eagles were ranked 28th in the world in the February ranking but dropped to 30th in the ranking released on April 4, 2024, following the team’s mixed results in last month’s international break.

Also, despite dropping two spots, Nigeria remains third on the African continent behind Morocco (13th) and Senegal (17th).

Egypt (37th), Cote d’Ivoire (38th), and Tunisia (41st) round up the rest of the top five on the African continent.

Meanwhile, world champions Argentina remain the number one ranked nation, followed by France, Belgium, England, and Brazil.
