Speed Darlington has been summoned by NAPTIP over disturbing claims made in a recent Instagram live session.
The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has directed Nigerian artist Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, to report to its headquarters in Abuja on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 9 a.m.
The summons follows a viral video in which the singer allegedly claimed to have engaged in sexual activity with a 15-year-old girl at a hotel — a statement that has raised serious legal and ethical concerns.
In an official letter dated May 28, NAPTIP stated that the allegations, if verified, could constitute a breach of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act of 2015.
The agency urged the artist to comply with the invitation to avoid potential enforcement actions.
