Nigerian musician Mr Eazi, whose real name is Oluwatosin Ajibade, has shared the heartbreaking news of his mother, Ifeoma Ajibade’s, passing.

In an emotional tribute posted on Instagram on Thursday, the 33-year-old artist described his late mother as his biggest supporter, strictest critic, and strongest protector.

“Thank you, Mummy, for your sacrifices, strength, and unwavering faith,” he wrote. “You raised us with love, discipline, and devotion to God. You taught me confidence, entrepreneurship, forgiveness, and the value of family.”

Mr Eazi further expressed that while his mother was not perfect, she was perfect in his eyes. “Your legacy lives on. Rest well, Ifeoma Edith Ajibade,” he concluded.

Temi Otedola, Mr Eazi’s wife and daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, joined in mourning her mother-in-law, commenting, “You Forever Mommy” on his post.

Friends and colleagues from the entertainment industry also extended their condolences. Singer Skales wished her soul eternal peace, while Jaywon expressed his sorrow, and comedian Ushbebe offered words of comfort, saying, “Mama is in a better place.”
