Nollywood actress Lilian Afegbai is receiving widespread praise for her performance in the new Netflix show, To Kill a Monkey, directed by Kemi Adetiba.

Reacting to the outpouring of support, Afegbai took to Instagram to thank fans and colleagues, calling the role of Idia one of the most emotionally demanding of her career.

She described the experience as transformative, revealing that she poured her soul into the character’s strength and vulnerability.

Afegbai also credited director Kemi Adetiba for guiding her through the intense process and thanked the entire cast and crew for their support.

Marking Adetiba’s first major project outside the King of Boys universe, To Kill a Monkey is an 8-part crime drama which premiered on Netflix on July 18.
