A ballot is to offer 10,000 free tickets for a star-studded concert at Windsor Castle to mark the King’s coronation.

The televised show will be on May 7, the day after King Charles is crowned at Westminster Abbey.

The line-up will feature “musical icons and contemporary stars”.

There will be 5,000 pairs of tickets in the ballot, which will open at 07:00 on Friday and close on February 28.

They would be allocated based on the geographical spread of the UK population
