Charli XCX took home the Songwriter of the Year title, playfully downplaying her songwriting skills by quoting lyrics from her 2024 hit Club Classics.

U2 made history as the first Irish band to receive the prestigious Ivor Novello Fellowship, celebrating nearly 50 years of iconic hits like With or Without You and Sunday Bloody Sunday. Frontman Bono praised music’s power to move and change people.

Rising stars Lola Young and Myles Smith also received top honors, with Young winning the Rising Star award and Smith’s Stargazing named the most-played UK radio song of last year.

The Killers were recognized with the International Award, presented by Bruce Springsteen, who joked about the band’s early struggles and praised their success.
