Hollywood star, Idris Elba, is set to direct a Lagos-based short film, titled Dust To Dreams, in a collaboration with Nigerian filmmaker, Mo Abudu.
The connection between a mother and her teenage daughter is followed in Dust to Dreams when the daughter meets her father for the first time.
Mo Abudu used her social media pages on Tuesday to provide additional information on the movie, which would feature Nollywood actors Nse Ikpe-Etim, Eku Edewor, Atlanta Bridget Johnson, and former Nigerian Idol competitor Constance Olatunde in addition to British-Nigerian music star Seal.
Her tweet, which is based on an article from the entertainment website Deadline, also reveals that EbonyLife Films and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) worked together on the movie via its Creative Africa Nexus (Canex).
She stated, “I’m ecstatic to announce a ground-breaking partnership near and dear to my heart.”
