In a powerful joint statement, the foreign ministers of 27 countries, including the UK, France, Canada, and Japan, have called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza, describing the humanitarian crisis as “unbearable.”

The ministers condemned Israel’s current aid distribution model, saying it endangers civilians and denies Palestinians their dignity. They expressed outrage that over 800 people have been killed while seeking humanitarian assistance, including food and water.

The signatories urged Israel to lift restrictions on aid, comply with international law, and allow UN agencies and humanitarian workers to operate safely. They also demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas since October 7th.

They also reiterated full support for ceasefire efforts led by the US, Qatar, and Egypt, and signaled their readiness to take further action to help bring the conflict to an end.
