Afrobeats powerhouse Asake and UK rap phenomenon Central Cee are the latest names announced for Flytime Promotions’ December 2025 season, joining a line-up that once again places Lagos at the heart of global music culture.

British rap star Central Cee becomes the first artist confirmed for Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged, Flytime’s flagship stand-alone event and West Africa’s longest-running iconic concert, which has showcased both major stars and emerging talents shaping music today. Performing on 21 December, Central Cee brings the attitude and influence of London’s rap scene to Lagos’ legendary live stage. Now in its 21st year, Rhythm Unplugged remains one of Africa’s most influential live events, celebrated for its unmatched energy and history of spotlighting both rising talent, homegrown and global heavyweights.

Meanwhile, Asake joins the Flytime Fest powered by Coca-Cola line-up, taking the stage on 24 December, alongside previously announced headliners Flavour on 22 December and Davido, who will close the festival on Christmas Day, 25 December. The four-day indoor headliner event, Flytime Fest, spotlights the sounds and stars that have continued to define Afrobeats – from Flavour’s highlife music to Davido’s chart-dominating hits to Asake’s signature fusion of Yoruba lyrics with captivating melodies.

As Afrobeats continues its global rise – now among the most streamed genres in the world, with Spotify plays up 28% in 2024 and more than 550% since 2017 – Flytime stands as one of the platforms that helped propel the movement long before its mainstream breakthrough. With the headliner and full line-up for Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged still under wraps, and one more headliner yet to be announced for Flytime Fest, this year’s edition – known for its special guests and surprise moments – continues to cement its reputation as a global cultural touchpoint not to be missed.

These events anchor Lagos’ December entertainment season, reinforcing the city’s status as a global hotspot for vibrant nightlife and unforgettable celebrations. Since 2004, Flytime Promotions has played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s cultural ascent, championing African talent with pride. Its stages have showcased artists like Asake, Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Ayra Starr, Olamide, and Davido long before their global rise, while also hosting international stars such as Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, Boyz II Men, Roddy Ricch, Ja Rule, and Ashanti.

Rooted in innovation and cultural authenticity, Flytime continues to evolve, pushing boundaries and redefining what live entertainment from Africa looks like on the world stage.

“Coca-Cola Rhythm Unplugged has always been about more than music, it’s a reflection of how far African entertainment has come, and where it’s headed next…” said Cecil Hammond, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Flytime. “What began with one platform, Rhythm Unplugged has grown into a second event, Flytime Fest – a larger celebration of music, culture, and creativity. For years, we’ve been proud to showcase Nigeria’s incredible talent on a global stage, and 2025 will be no different. We’re building an experience that celebrates the energy, innovation, and spirit of music.”

“Flytime has earned its place on the global entertainment map because we never stop pushing the standard for what live experiences from Africa can be. This December, we’re raising that standard again with productions designed to impress, inspire, and move our ever-growing audience. We’re especially excited to welcome Flavour, Davido, Asake, and Central Cee to our stage this year.” adds Keke Hammond, Chief Operating Officer of Flytime.

Renowned for their world-class production, electric performances and immersive atmosphere, Flytime’s December events stand among Africa’s most celebrated cultural exports – a home for Afrobeats, R&B, hip-hop and the sounds driving the continent’s global influence
