The Federal Government has released the Super Eagles’ match bonuses at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, ending days of uncertainty within the camp.

Minister of State for Finance, Doris Uzoka-Anite, said players will receive the funds in their domiciliary accounts within 24 hours, noting that foreign currency conversion caused the delay. The development followed threats by the team to boycott travel for their quarter-final match against Algeria over unpaid allowances.

With the payment issue resolved, the Super Eagles can now fully focus on Saturday’s decisive clash in Marrakesh.
