President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has launched the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) Evolution Strategy and Road Map 2030, aimed at providing the armed forces with advanced equipment tailored to contemporary challenges.

Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, at DICON’s 60th anniversary on Wednesday in Abuja, the President pledged substantial investment in DICON to ensure efficient delivery on its mandate within the 2030 roadmap timeframe.

In his remarks, the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Muhammed Matawalle, noted that DICON has made a significant contribution to Nigeria’s defence architecture, providing essential equipment and supporting military capabilities. He called for unity and collaboration to achieve the ambitious goals set out in the Vision and Strategy Road Map 2030.
