The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved another N287.73 billion for the execution of 14 road projects across the country.
Briefing State House Correspondents after the 2nd day of the Federal Executive Council meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Minister of works, David Umahi, said this is aside the 10 road projects approved yesterday totaling N885billion.
Our correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Minister disclosed that the Council however stepped down for further scrutiny the request for the construction of permanent Headquarters for Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA.
On his part, Hon. Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate, said FEC approved contracts worth ₦12 billion for the installation of advanced diagnostic equipment in six teaching hospitals across the country.
