Davido has confirmed that his new album is set to drop in early 2025. In a recent interview with The Baller Alert, he also announced a new single titled “Funds,” featuring Nigerian R&B artist Chike and hip-hop star Odumodublvck.

The single is described as a return to his Nigerian roots, with Davido aiming to create music that is distinctly Nigerian.

During the interview, Davido discussed his recent birthday concert in Atlanta, which featured several stars, including Odumodublvck, Musa Keys, Mayorkun, Darkoo, and The Composers. He explained that the concert was aimed at promoting African music to a global audience while offering emerging stars a platform to connect with the American Afrobeats community.

Additionally, Davido shared insights on his Grammy-nominated single “Sensational,” created in collaboration with Chris Brown, revealing that they worked on two songs together, but Chris Brown was particularly invested in “Sensational.” The track has earned both artists their first entries on the Billboard Hot 100 and has contributed to Lojay’s first Grammy nomination.
