Manchester City, Real Madrid, Al-Hilal and Monterrey are through to the Round of 16 at the Club World Cup following their outings last night. City defeated Juventus 5–2 to top their group, while Real Madrid cruised past RB Salzburg with a 3–0 victory.
Al-Hilal also secured qualification with a 2–0 win over Pachuca, finishing second in their group behind Madrid. In another key match, Monterrey thrashed Urawa Red Diamonds 4–0 to advance from their group.
The results mean some big names are now out of the tournament, including Juventus and Pachuca, while the qualified teams prepare for high-stakes knockout action in the Round of 16.
