Fulham also qualified to the Semis, seeing off Everton via a dramatic penalty shootout after the game ended 1-1 in regulation time.

Middlesbrough booked their place in the Carabao Cup semi-finals for the first time since they won the trophy in 2004 as they comfortably saw off Port Vale 3-nil last night.

The draw for the semi-finals takes place after Liverpool and West Ham play tonight, with the first leg of those ties being played in the week commencing January 8.
