James Harding, a British drug lord, was sentenced to life with a minimum of 32 years for plotting to murder a gang rival from Dubai.
The British drug Lord, Harding and partner Jayes Kharouti ran a £100 million drug empire, making up to £2.5 million monthly. They attempted to hire a hitman to kill a rival courier, offering £100,000–£200,000 for the job.
The plot was uncovered through 9,000+ messages seized via EncroChat after French police broke the encrypted network.
Harding, who lived lavishly in Dubai, was arrested in Switzerland, while Kharouti was extradited from Turkey. Both received life sentences with lengthy minimum terms.
